A little cafe with a lovely atmosphere and bamboo grove for window scenery. I tried the Indonesian Mandheling and it was very delicious. The coffee selection here is magnificent.

Cafe Mamebou is a hidden gem for coffee lovers. Their black coffee was robust yet smooth, carrying a depth of flavor that’s both invigorating and comforting. I could taste the care put into each pour. The coffee ice cream; however, was a true surprise – creamy, richly infused with coffee essence, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. It’s a refreshing and indulgent treat that complemented the black coffee beautifully, making it a must-try combination for me

The cafe master spoke English! I was so surprised. There are lots of different beans to choose from for your cup of coffee, and then menu thoroughly describes their tastes. You also can choose if you’d like your coffee in a porcelain cup, or handmade pottery. If you select the pottery, the staff will explain the origins of your cup to you. It was nice to drink coffee in a pottery mug like in America. Exceptionally friendly and warm service in both English and Japanese and the coffee was fragrant and really enjoyable. The owners also have information for tourists to Sendai. I recommend this for both tourists and Sendai residents!

Excellent micro roaster with good house blends, a selection of single origin beans and nice homemade cakes. Well made pour overs served in high quality hand made ceramics. Very relaxing atmosphere with views through bamboo to the river and nice low volume classic playing. Highly recommended.

An absolutely fantastic cafe we were elated to stumble upon. The owner spoke fluent english and took great care to explain the menu/coffees to us, and even thoughtfully provided english tourism materials for us! The coffee selection and food were delightful and we enjoyed a lovely view of the river. Make sure to grab a small coffee cake from the checkout counter

A very homey feeling cafe, with a view overlooking the river. Owners were very nice and explained to me fully about the menu and the pottery used for the cups. It is clear that they know their coffee and there is a large selection of coffee beans to choose from. Coffee was really good although kind of pricey, and the cheesecake was delicious too.
